Neil Ewart, originally from Kilchoan in Ardnamurchan, was taught classically as a youngster until he was accepted into the National Centre of Excellence in Plockton, where he was tutored by Iain Macfarlane of Blazing Fiddles and Jack Evans of The Easy Club.
Neil has since moved to Glasgow and is currently finishing his B.A. (Hons) Degree) in Applied Music, BAAM, at the University of Strathclyde.
Neil has made appearances with Skippinish, Rachel Walker and, more recently, with Skerryvore on their performance at the 2011 Tonder Festival in Denmark.
Neil can regularly be found playing ceilidh’s up and down the country for the Jim Jam Ceilidh Band and Sketch and playing in the sessions in Glasgow’s thriving music scene.
